trim

I have a pacific v2025 with a 130 hp honda. Recently I have the feeling that my trim hydraulics are 'soft' so to speak. When running I normally start out with with the trim set in a neutral position. There is a tendency for the trim to drift down as I use the boat. At times this has resulted in the boat porposing somewhat. Not a huge problem yet but it is annoying. I checked the hydraulic fluid/reservoir no problems there and no obvious leaks. Anything else I should consider checking out???

Tilt/trim pump or cylinders might need some work, internal leaking, won't show fluid loss. As a temporary fix relocate the long steel pin that limits down trim to a higher hole.

all you may need to do is tighten up the trim hold screw on the side of motor. there is a screw on the side to loosen to enable the motor to be manually tilted. This screw may have loosened up and does not hold as well. I just went through the same issue on my 225. Honda trim pumps very rarely go bad.
