Holy Codfish Batman.............. Congratulations, The thrill of being the captain of the boat, finding the right spot, moment and time to drop lines ...... is just as good as turning the reel handle in my humble opinion. Not to mention if it was a family member who did the pulling.

I would like to see the bottom half of the scale please.

JB hollow core fails on big fish!
Joe had a whale cod pull the leader out of the JB hollow core.
I thought that couldn't happen.

Nice one!!!!!!!! Makes me want to plan a trip out there next year. Sorry to hear about the spectra/flourocarbon failure. It has happened to me on some very large tuna.

Good thing about fishing is going out and chasing them again. Go get that "whale cod"

Nice fish. We don't have tackle shops that let us weigh them inside up here :shock: . That's a big cod for sure. Nice photos's. I'm with Jettywolf as do you have any photos of the trip i.e. rod's bent over........?
