Hi all,
I just joined because I am in the market for a skiff and I've found some of the posts here helpful.
I've also seen reference to a user SLDave that sounds like he is well informed about aluminum boats for sale in the SD area, and I can certainly use any help I can get finding a good boat in good shape.
I've got a limited amount of experience, and a limited towing capacity, so I am looking to start with something in the 15 to 18 foot range, and I've been attracted to the Bayrunners. (And just missed out on one that sounded pretty good on Craigslist).
I've had the chance to drive Hewescraft and Svensen boats last summer while working for the USFS in Wrangell, AK.
I also have been kayak fishing from a Hobie Revo 13 for a while now, in La Jolla, Baja, and (when I can) SE Alaska. But I would like to eventually get my captain's license and so want to get more experience with my own power boat (and also the USCG doesn't count kayak fishing as days of sea service).
