Jeff, welcome to the AAB.com Forum, not that many posting members have vintage riveted boats but hopefully someone will recognize the hull or one like it? Very distinctive fins!

Not sure, of course, but it would appear to be the product of the GM or Chrysler automotive designers from the late 50' maybe early 60's?? On the other hand the after sides of the transom have curved sloping sections but the fins look like they might have been welded plate? The seams in the fins, what little is visible from the distance of the photos, kind of imply they were added after the rest of the hull was already in existence? Perhaps they're original?

Never seen that particular design and no idea who made her, but she looks complete enough for a restoration project? How are the bilges ? Was it kept covered or left to the elements?

Sure has some 'style'! Are you going to fair her out and paint- restoration? Very nice forward seat partial bulkhead stylized intersection with gunwales is eye catching.

Welcome aboard, hope you'll consider a thread on your restoration if you're planning one?

cheers,

Very cool old hull, what part of the country are you located in?

I found the boat in Carmine, Texas. I plan to restore it and find a vintage outboard for it.

Jeff, there's a possibility the boat is a "FeatherCraft"? I found some images that lead to "feathercraft.net" and that site seemed to have lots of thumbnails of similar boats- boats that had similar design elements, and were riveted.

Might be worth a look and contact their 'club' online? Still think those particular fins look a little out of place??

Cheers,
