Duckworth 30xl build
Hey guys and gals. My new addition is coming along. It is really stressing me out because there are more options on a boat then a house. Pictures came in and I made a big booboo. I thought rub rails were standard. This is after paint inside and outside. It will be roughly 6"-8" wide and run the hole length of the boat along the paint seam. I'm guessing they will have to strip paint in and out then weld. Willing to compensate for my mess up. How detailed do you members think this is?

Paint down to the top of the lower rail then bottom paint below that. Perhaps forego the upper rail, don't really need it and would simplify the rework

Go for the rub rails, they also work as Spray rails to help keep you drier.

Re: Duckworth 30xl build
I was told it can't happen. They offered me another build slot for next year but roughly $75,000 increase in next year model. I can always bolt on if needed. Paint removal (inside and out), carpet removal, wire removal and they said they weld on with hull upsidedown. They have no means of rolling it over now that it is built. The gunwale rub rail and reverse chine stick out further then the sides so I think I will be ok if I'm careful. Just no boat to boat transfers without bumpers. Thanks for the feedback

That's insane... if you want a boat that is just like that one (or close) buy mine. You will have a killer boat save money, it's a win win for both of us.

I'm sure that I would save money but I need the whole 34' of hull for the crap I have planned for her. Thanks though
