Re: pacific assassin build
Oh yeh and don't get in a hurry and not pay attention. Did not notice till later that we ended up with 12 rod holders on the port and 11 on the starboard. We had a block of wood for a spacer block and still messed up lol. We ended up only a few inches off between the two sides by just growing a 1/4 to half inch at a time in several spots. The rod holder on the left is number 12 and the one on the right is where number 11 ended up. Had to break the whole one side off and start over. The angle also changed and watched that a lot more the second time around. Had to laugh about it since they were still just tacked in place. It would have been a job if they were welded solid.

Nice ride but you might want to add some Rod Holders.

Re: pacific assassin build
LOL I thought I cut back ;). some days I might have up to 30 rods or more if going after tuna, salmon and halibut. I do not like having to look for a empty rod holder if switching setups. And why not it was easy and cheap to add them

Re: pacific assassin build
Found a clamshell pickup for the washdown pump pickup. If it works good and keeps a prime even on step I will probably add another setup to the port side for the livewell system next winter. or just "T" off of this one. That would be a lot easier.

when the holes were drilled for the transducers the isolator ring was not taken into account. Oops lol. Nothing a jigsaw cannot fix. They fit now lol.

added labels to the wires going to the ACR's so I know where each wire is going. Also added 200amp fuses to the + wires going to the main switches.

back deck lit up, and under gunnel lighting. Under gunnel lights are some cheap IPX 67 off amazon and the deck lights are Vision X duralux mini's.

installed a Nmea 2k compatible fuel level sensor. I was looking at a analog to nmea2k convertor but going this way was almost the same money. Just plug direct into the Nmea2k system. Then I should be able to see fuel tank level on my mfd's. I know that I can see fuel usage on the engine management screens but this way if someone borrows fuel from me I can see that.
had to cut it to the correct length. The fluid reading takes place up inside this tube. It is supposed to be very stable and accurate reading.
you have to use a magnet to set the empty and full settings. You can have up to 16 tanks on the system, thank goodness I have just one lol. Will have to wait for a while on the full settings. That day is going to hurt$$$$

installed VHF antenna's. I went with Morad, the 159 is for VHF/AIS while the 156 is just for VHF. This is what the CG and a lot of commercial boats use. I debated between this and Digital and decided to go this way. The aluminum tubes are powder coated and I used TEFJEL to between the tubes to help fight corrosion between them.

one end of the cable is very small and makes it easy to pull through rigging tubes. Then you just screw on the adapter when you are ready to hook it up. Pretty sweet.

Re: pacific assassin build
the Suzuki controls are installed and the main wire harness is pulled to the back of the boat. I do not have any of it hooked up. I will let the shop plug it all in.
You can see the auto pilot pump installed under the steering wheel. I have it hooked up to the steering but do not have the cylinder hooked up yet. Waiting on that till the motors get here and are intalled. I do not want the cylinder getting beat up on the way to the shop to get motors installed. (if they ever get here)
SMD9 is also installed and hooked up to NMEA2k. I am running the airmar SS175m to the TZT3 and the SS175hw to the 1042xsv. Both airmar's had simrad plugs on them so I had to cut and rewire them with Furuno inline wire splicer.

Autopilot pump, shut off valves installed so I can lock out the pump if there are issues with the pump. The handles are zip tied up. I also installed the Furuno Safe helm2 in the line heading up to steering wheel. Pacific installed the mounting plate for me, make life a little easier.

Re: pacific assassin build
lots of wires coming out of the gutter from the transom. WIsh I would have had Pacific open the other side up also. Two of the breakers feed the reel outlets on the cabin, one for the pot davit motor, and one feeds the transom power distribution panel for the reel outlets on the back deck. Oh yeh and one for the factory bilge pump.

more wiring fun, main bonding bus in upper left corner with Suzuki gateway rigth underneath it. There is room for the second one right below. The ecm and the rest of the Suzuki wiring is on the upper right hand side. Cannot tighen and straighen the wires in this area till the motors are installed.

Re: pacific assassin build
installing the davit, measure twice and cut once lol. 3" schedule 40. It was a pain trying to drill the lower holes with the holesaw, not much room and it sucked when it would grab a tooth. I installed it in the gunnel to give me as much room down the walkway as I can get.
outer sleeve halfway welded out
installed a doubler plate and all welded out. I need to turn down the bushings as they are just a hair to big. One bushing up top and the other a couple inches of the bottom of the deck.
Installing the motor, switch and cutting and sleeving the davit to go

Re: pacific assassin build
Thanks and I have a power outlet on the cabin right next to where the davit sits. I will just run the power cable across. And since I like projects, I am using a wheel chair motor for the davit puller motor.

Re: pacific assassin build
finished up the pot puller, I made it into a 3 piece setup. The motor is a a (Jazzy) wheel chair motor from Ebay($40 shipped). I had the pulley and motor base machined for free from a buddy, Yeh I owe him a few trips lol. All in I am in it less then couple hundred bucks, hope it works on the water. I think it is right at 170' per min. speed wise so it moves right along. I took a couple of wraps on the pulley and it pulled a 55-60# bucket of lead up without hardly slowing down. I did not need to put much pressure on the line while pulling it up. (it went down much, much faster :eek:)

Can't wait to see this working on the water.
What's the amp draw on the motor and are you going to carry a small generator on the boat ?
