Re: Zep-a-Lume
salmonator,
Zep Chemical Co. can't sell the mixture in all locations due to (all sorts of) CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES regulations in different States. We've seen several comments here, in the past, about lack of availability in some one's area due I think to hazardous chemical regulations?
Don't have a map to provide but you might try checking if there are any tanker truck services in your area? These firms often use it to clean their tankers- so do other over-the-road aluminum tank truck companies.
IF you are near a Van Water Rogers (national chemical distribution co.) outlet, you might contact them to see if they know about Zep's distribution in your area? Also, instead of emailing Zep- you might give them a call or two -probably lots of numbers all ending in recordings.... like so many other companies these days! quick search online: [ Zep Sales & Service, a unit of Zep Inc. 1-877-I BUY ZEP (1-877-428-9937) ]
Sorry not to be much help. Good Luck finding Zep-a-Lume, it is the best mixture of acids (IMO) to clean and de-scale, de-oxide marine aluminum alloys on the market.
Cheers,
