Thanks, yeah I have a Hobart Tig now at the shop..... may try it, or add a coil feed attachment. I don't know if it's powerful enough to weld 1/4" aluminum.

I was thinking of a Mig for home. Never did Mig.

Buying a Welder

Guys,

Anyone know a decent make & model welder that is capable of welding on my boat & others that will handle up to 1/4" 5086? Wanna add handrails , rodholders, outriggers etc.....

10-4 Dave, Mine is mounted more like yours is. If I kick the gain way up I do get a reading but it's all air bubbles with a correct depth thrown in on occasion, I think because of maybe hitting a small wave and sinking the stern down a little. You are correct that the MFG. has this ideal position th...

I had a kicker n my previous boat. It was a pc. of mind but honestly never used it. These 4 strokes are like plane engines. Incredible if properly maintained. As far as the wiper. An easy add on Capt. Dave. The only thing I would do is add a delay. The standard wiper they supply is way to fast for t...

TinToy....Excellent idea there!!!!!! Jettywolf Excellent idea there!!!!! I'm not keen either without building a watertight box in the bilge while the boat was being built.......It ain't gonna happen now. The Thru Hull Ducer gives you 1000 watts for deep water I believe. TinToy has the right idea the...

Pacific Boat Question

Jay, or AABr'S

Are the Pacific hulls built to accept either single or dual outboards as a standard.

Someone I was talking with asked if the hull configuration changes when you want a dual outboard setup.

Good question........?????

Went To The RI Show

No Alloy boats there that I saw except for the SeaTow Boat. The show was 1/2 size, and the general feeling from all the glass dealers was grim........very grim!! They actually had a guy who was handing out free tickets to the show when I arrived on Sunday around 1:00 PM. I was going really only beca...

Marty, That's an awesome idea!!!

Do you think making a ramp like that for a transom mount ducer would work too?

After 20 MPH my display is gone. I think I'm not deep enough in the water with the ducer so I end up with air bubbles..........not sure
