Now he did it, the Goat is in the hospital
John Risser, AKA Goatram here on the board fell off a retaining wall at his house yesterday and broke his leg bad just below the knee, both tib & fib, ouch! Going in for surgery today, sure hope it goes well John! We're pulling for a complete heal-up for you man, tough to whack and stack tuna with a broken prop shaft

Hope John gets well soon.
But as we get more experienced in life (Old goats ) It takes a lot longer to heal. (And we don't bounce as good or as high as we used to)

John, I'll pray for talented surgeons, and patience while you heal. Seems like a few years and the frame gets more brittle, of course jumping off walls might have something to do with it too?
And in the interests of vicarious healing, I'll raise a cup of single malt from the Isles this evening when I light the smoking lamp-- to your improved health.
Cheers,

Definite misfortune. Get well soon.

He went home today to rest up for a week then back to the horse spital for more surgery after which a few days post op then back home to watch daytime drama until Christmas or something like that. Poor dude is going to miss the entire summer offshore bite

Re: Now he did it, the Goat is in the hospital
Bob Thanks for letting my other Favorite Forum know my status. It is true I was working in my yard pushing dirt over my retainer wall when I slipped and fell 6 to 8 ft. So far I spent 2 weeks at Harbor View Hospital in Seattle. I return this coming Tuesday for my next surgery. They will remove my 4 pins and three steel rods. The will install plates and screws to my left lower leg bones: Tib and Fib. After 4 days in the hospital I should be released on the 4th.The next three months will be non weight bearing. the one month of gradualed weight bearing. I need to get up and back to work. This sitting on my rearend is for the dogs.
My Modding days are on hold. the main reason for not updating here is my phone and the hassle of postion by it to AAB. I like Tapatalk. Posting on BD is easy and simple even I the Goat can and did,
I am Alive and moving getting better.
