With the steering upright like that, perhaps a steering knob would be installed.

Re: E&D BOATS
when my boats paid off when about I'm 65, I'm gonna get me some side "bumper" rails/stiffeners welded on, and maybe even two of them! Staggered even.
I could just kick myself in the azz for not thinking about that while sitting in Jay's Office!!
I'm gonna blame it on AAB.com, yeah. Because AAB.com wasn't around then. :| :(
Another thing I'm gonna do when I'm 82, is I'll only be taking 2 people on my boat, and they'll be sharing anchor pulling duties, too......if they don't like it...Screw'em!

Re: E&D BOATS
Did you ever get a definitive answer as to why rub rails can't be welded to the side of the boat after the boat leaves the factory? I know that there must be a reason...I just don't get it :?

Re: E&D BOATS
SL Dave,
yeah it can, but it's best for someone here to make them rather than get them from Pacific.
Gearing up for a complete melt down here, so I can't even think about the two things I'd really like to do:
1. -Getting side rails made and welded on.
2. -have my "burley bucket" aka: Chum bucket welded into my swim platform.
It's already the "holiday season" yeah, AGAIN...then add in an election year, and complete financial disaster.
Oh this is gonna be a good one.....

Re: E&D BOATS
Looks like a beefy little CC.
I like the outboard protector, is she used for gill netting or towing?
Question, Why do you not leave a cavity in the hull for a subfloor fuel cell and make a larger fuel capacity rather than that small tank under the CC? I think even if you make the tank sit down in a cavity under the console even if it comes up to the same height??? How large is that tank? What size outboard do you put on her? How do you weld water tight the floor plates with the foam under the? Or do you stich weld little strips and use a sealer to make it water tight. Any water under those plates would seem to cause many different issues if they are not completely watertight. Mty

Re: E&D BOATS
Marty, that's a bunch of questions...I never noticed where the tank was. Good observation.
Fish farm work boat he said. Probably not a lot of call for a giant fuel tank.
I believe that isn't foam, but rather Berkely GULP under the deck, or possibly Fish Bites.

Re: E&D BOATS
Fuel tanks above deck on a skiff is a good thing.
My Edwing has two saddle tanks, 20 gal ea under the gunwales. Four bolts and two hoses they are out of there. Makes for very easy periodic clean-out, also prevents any corrosion from developing. Also much less cost initially to have them topsides.
